Holy Crap! New Updates!

Wow... It's been over three years since I've been here. Three years I've done a lot of growing, both in ability and in character.

I've worked a lot in the indie scene, especially the indie comic scene. I've written the comic XOGENASYS for the black diverse-oriented indie company "Noir Caesar", headed by basketball player Johnny O'Bryant. It's heart-warming to see a group of individuals banding together to create content that speaks to a crowd not normally seen in media today. In between, I've done a lot of comic commissions, done them so much to where scripting is a sort of second language next to writing prose.

I've also partnered with "Our Write Side", a collective of indie writers and editors who do interesting writing projects and offer literature services at reasonable prices. My time with them has been enlightening as well as the kick in the pants I needed to get up and produce more work. If you visit their site, you'll see their "12 Days of Indie" event, where like the song, each of these first twelve days of December offers a vignette on a different indie author who volunteered for the event. Who knows? You might find your new favorite author there.

Back in 2015, I started doing poetry on my Instagram page. I've no idea why I stopped but now, two years later, I'm back at it. I've had a lot more emotions to express and my sudden lack of fear of stating my opinion has opened me up to speak more. Speak on things that've been troubling me all these years and even right now as I write this post. Some pieces come off the top of my head while others just take a bit of thought to come out.

For my personal works, I've started work on a gothic fantasy novel called "Lunar Verse: Bringers of the New Age." Inspired by the Castlevania and Underworld series, it mixes action/adventure with the ghoulish feel of the Hammer horror films of the sixties and seventies.

Am I the only one who enjoyed the Hugh Jackman "Van Helsing" movie? I absolutely loved it.

Moving on, for comic works, I'm finally going to try and move forward with my pulp-fantasy adventure story, Azure Epoch. Those who've known me and been my fan would know how long I've been trying to get Azure Epoch off the ground (since 2010, mind y0u). Numerous rewrites, confidence and production issues, and just lack of funding and enthusiasm are some of the many issues that plagued the project.

But, with 2018 around the corner, I feel a lot of great things are on the horizon. Not just for me, but for everyone who's doing their best to make things happen in their lives.

So don't just sit on the sidelines wishing. Get out there and make some moves.

Until next time,

T.D. McIntosh, aka "Prodigious Dialect".
